Temporary basket strainers also known as flat top conical strainers, truncated mesh line strainer and hat type strainers, belong to the most simple type of pipe coarse filtration series, which is installed on the pipeline to remove larger solid impurity in the fluid, making equipment machinery, equipment (including compressors, pumps etc.) and instrument work and run normally, ensuring safe production. When fluid get into the certain sizes of mesh screen. Its impurities will be blocked. Cleaning filtrate will be outlet from strainer. When the strainer needs to clean, worker just needs to take out the removable cartridge, than re-installed after clean processing. Therefore, it is very convenient to use and maintain. It is mainly used for equipment pipeline before driving, which to be installed on the pipeline between the two flanges to remove impurities. Filter Media: Only perforated metal structure. Only woven wire mesh structure. Outside with perforated metal, inside with woven mesh. Outside with woven wire mesh, inside with perforated metal.Inside is wire support ,outside with woven wire mesh
Layers: One layer perforated metal mesh with no inner wire cloth,single layer wire cloth or multilayer wire cloth.
 
Feature
High filtration accuracy: the removal rate of suspended solids in water can be up to 95% or more. The strainers also work on removal for the macro molecules organic matter, viruses, bacteria, colloids, iron and other impurities.
High filtration speed: generally 40m/h, highest up to 60m/h, which is three times more than ordinary sand filter.
A large amount of pollutants: generally 15 ~ 35kg / m3, which is four times more than ordinary sand filter.
Small space volume: For filtrating same amount of water, this kind of strainer covers an area 1/3 less than ordinary sand filter.
High adjustability: Filtration accuracy, interception capacity, filtration resistance and other parameters can be adjusted according as required.

Application:
Weak corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production, such as: water, ammonia, oil, hydrocarbons and so on.
Corrosive materials of chemical production,such as: caustic soda, concentrated sulfuric acid, carbonic acid, acetic acid, acid and so on.
