Welding

Our expert staff and welding equipment will work with you from the manufacture of the wire cloth or mesh through finishing and welding. Our quality control and inspection services will ensure that the welded mesh product we deliver meets your exact requirements.

JD Hardware provides resistance, TIG and Laser welding services for woven wire mesh and diffusion bond wire cloth. We can provide you a production-ready finished product, saving production time and cost.

Resistance Welding

Resistance spot, seam and circumferential welding for welding components and/or complete part assemblies.

Resistance welding is the joining of metals by applying pressure and passing weld current for a length of time through the metal area which is to be joined. The key advantage of resistance welding is that no other materials are needed to create a bond which makes this process extremely cost-effective.

TIG Welding

TIG, MIG and arc welding options are available. These types of welding are a good choice for bonding heavy materials together or attaching brackets and handles to a metal filter or strainer.

Laser Welding

JD Hardware offers experience and expertise in laser welding for a variety of applications and end users.  Laser welding, as opposed to traditional arc welding, provides more precision with limited distortion.  Laser welds can also be more tightly controlled permitting highly accurate welds in small areas.  These characteristics often make laser welding a superior choice to more traditional welding.

JD Hardware have experience laser welding aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, copper and bronze materials.  We use rotary chucks in our operation to accommodate 360 degree welds. 

Soldering

Soldering is often used on brass and copper materials, but it can also be used on stainless and plain steel. Soldering is a good option when resistance welding is not possible or practical. Soldering is also effective for sealing ends or edges. We offer lead-free solder or cadmium-free silver brazing.
